Potrero homeowners don't need another sales pitch about their roof — they need someone who shows up, explains what's actually wrong, and fixes it right the first time.
Roof Repair Smedway grew out of Potrero, CA job sites, not a corporate rollout plan — that's still how we staff every Commercial Roofing crew we send to Potrero.
We don't treat licensing as a formality — it's proof that the person on your roof knows what they're doing and that you're covered if anything goes sideways.
A roof repair that's "close enough" tends to fail again within a year, usually during the exact storm it was supposed to handle. We don't build that way.
Proof of licensing before the first ladder goes up.
Storms don't wait for office hours, so our on-call line doesn't either.
You approve a number before the crew touches your roof.
We already know Potrero's weather patterns and permit process.
A roof rarely just fails one day — it usually spends months quietly showing signs that get written off as cosmetic.
The earlier one of these signs gets a proper look, the smaller the repair usually stays; waiting rarely makes a roof problem cheaper to fix.
Heavy granule loss usually means the shingles are nearing the end of their service life.
Shingles that curl at the edges have lost flexibility and are more likely to crack in the next windstorm.
A gap that lets light through will let rain through eventually.
Stains grow slowly, which is exactly why they get ignored until they spread.
An unexplained bill increase is worth checking against your roof's condition.
Even a small missing section can let in enough water to rot decking in a single storm.
We split our work into specific service lanes because a wind-lifted shingle and a full system replacement need completely different crews and timelines.
Below is the full breakdown of what we cover in Potrero, so you can see roughly where your situation fits before you even call.
Downed branches, torn flashing, and wind-lifted shingles all fall under our emergency response scope.
From a few cracked shingles to a complete tear-off, residential jobs get scoped against manufacturer spec, not a rough guess.
We schedule commercial jobs to minimize disruption to tenants and foot traffic wherever possible.
Material selection is part of the replacement conversation, matched to your climate exposure and budget.
A proper inspection checks flashing, fasteners, ventilation, and granule wear before small issues become leaks.
Chimney crickets, skylight seals, and valley flashing are common leak points that general repair crews often miss.
Four steps, no surprises in between — here's exactly what happens after you pick up the phone.
A dispatcher logs your address, roof type, and the problem, then schedules based on urgency.
You get a plain-language explanation, not just a number.
Every figure is documented in writing — nothing verbal, nothing vague.
A final walkthrough confirms everything matches the agreed scope.
If you've been burned by a roofing company before, these are the specific things we do differently, not just a promise that we're "better."
Crews based in Potrero, CA reach Potrero faster than out-of-area companies quoting a multi-week wait.
The number you approve in writing is the number on your final invoice, barring an approved scope change.
Crews carry moisture meters and proper fall protection on every job site.
We'd rather send a crew back for a small fix than leave a homeowner unsure.
We're not your insurance company, but we make that part of the process easier.
Some roofs need a full reroof; plenty just need one honest repair.
A verbal promise means nothing when you actually need it, so ours is documented and handed over at project close.
We also guarantee the number on your estimate — barring a scope change you approve first, that's the number on your invoice.
If you ever need to use the guarantee, the process is a phone call, not a fight.
We stage crews across Potrero, CA so a storm hitting one part of the region doesn't leave the rest of Potrero waiting.
When a storm moves through Potrero, CA and call volume spikes, active leaks get prioritized first while we communicate realistic wait times for everything else.
Coverage decisions are based on actual drive time from the nearest staged crew, not a fixed distance line on a map.
